About the Role Technical Lead will lead a small, high-performing engineering team responsible for building, evolving, and maintaining data-driven solutions and technology platforms, including AI-enabled capabilities and agent-based systems for production environments. The role combines technical leadership, accountability for delivering solutions, and people management, with a focus on modern architectures, scalable data platforms, and practical AI deployment.

What You'll Do

• Lead a small engineering team (initially 4 engineers, with potential to grow to two teams), ensuring cohesive design, development, deployment, and maintenance of data-driven solutions.
• Be responsible for delivering scalable data-driven platforms and AI-enabled solutions, with end-to-end ownership from concept to production.
• Provide technical leadership in a full-stack, systems-thinking capacity, rapidly understanding architectures, identifying risks, and making informed trade-offs without micromanaging implementation details.
• Define technological direction in key areas: cloud-native data platforms and apps, backend services and APIs, modern frontend interfaces, event-driven and distributed architectures, and AI components based on LLMs and agent systems integrated into production processes.
• Promote modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, secure software development, system observability, and cloud-native design.
• Create and communicate engineering goals, roadmaps, and priorities aligned with organizational goals and product strategy.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, AI/Research, and Data/Analytics teams to translate business and data requirements into scalable technology.
• Influence technical decisions at the management level regarding architecture, tooling, and platform development with pragmatic AI applications.
• Own quality and operational stability of delivered solutions, including reliability, performance, and lifecycle management of services.
• Support the growth of team members through coaching, mentoring, and career development, fostering an engineering culture grounded in accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Strong systems-thinking and architectural awareness, capable of identifying risks and making pragmatic trade-offs without deep-diving into every implementation detail.
• Clear vision for development in key tech areas: cloud-native data platforms and applications, backend/services/APIs, modern frontend, event-driven/distributed architectures, and AI components (LLMs and agent systems) integrated into production.
• Commitment to modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, secure software development, observability, cloud-native design).
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and work effectively with Product, Architecture, AI/Research, and Data/Analytics.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a coaching mindset and commitment to building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
