Job title: Technical Lead - Cloud & App Migration (AKS)

About the Role A strategic technical lead role focused on delivering client solutions by bridging technology and business needs. You will guide app migration consulting across multiple tech layers and act as a technical escalation point for the team (not a line manager).

What You'll Do

• Serve as technical escalation point for team members on app migration engagements across the tech stack.
• Provide technical direction and identify/implement technical strategy with cross-functional teams.
• Lead as a technical 'lead' (not line manager) and mentor/dev teams.
• Collaborate with app teams to understand migration needs and evaluate how migrations to target platforms (Cloud) can improve time to market and agility.
• Drive Cloud-first containerization, refactoring, and replatforming strategies for target platforms.
• Help adopt and extend automation, identifying use cases to improve app migration efficiency and customer experience.

What We're Looking For

• Must Have: Hands-on experience with software architecture, development, cloud engineering, infrastructure-as-code, and infrastructure engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands-on AKS experience; strong Azure services (AKS, Azure Functions, Web Apps, etc.) and migration blueprints.
• AZ-900 certification required; higher certifications preferred but not required.
• Automation skills with experience improving/automating processes and developing tools for profiling/refactoring code.
• Experience interfacing with App Refactoring / AAF migration activities and UBS ecosystem; strong cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in working with application teams across business functions; proven ability as an application lead/developer/architect; strong teamwork, self-starter, proactive, and able to coordinate tasks independently.
• Comfortable as a technical escalation point and quick learner with minimal supervision; customer-focused.
• Experience in UK8s (Shared AKS) is mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Containerization experience (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with strategy roles and driving transformation initiatives.
• Experience with DORA metrics and cloud-centric KPIs.
