About the Role Synopsys Exton, PA is seeking a highly skilled engineer to translate engineering theory into mission-critical software and workflows for defense and government customers. You will serve as the technical anchor in discussions with government stakeholders, turning requirements into practical solutions and iterating as missions evolve. This role requires comfort with security clearances, tight timelines, and direct impact on national defense outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Define and deliver workflows and tooling using Systems Tool Kit (STK), orbital mechanics, and custom scripting to support defense missions.
- Serve as the technical anchor in meetings with government stakeholders, translating requirements into actionable designs and clear guidance.
- Develop and integrate tools, automate workflows, and build custom scripts to accelerate mission outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security, compliance, and timely delivery, iterating as missions evolve.
What We're Looking For
- Strong background translating engineering theory into mission-critical applications.
- Experience writing code that integrates tools, automates workflows, or builds custom scripts.
- Ability to work in environments requiring security clearances, tight timelines, and direct national-defense impact.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability; comfortable working with government stakeholders.
- Knowledge or experience with Systems Tool Kit (STK), orbital mechanics, or defense-focused software (preferred).
Nice to Have
- Experience with government projects; security clearance; familiarity with STK; scripting in Python.
- Experience in aerospace/defense domain.
- Experience in translating requirements into designs and delivering end-to-end solutions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary Range: $136,000 - $204,000 per year.
