Job title: Technical Business Lead Analyst
About the Role The Technical Business Lead Analyst in Client Delivery within Global Wealth Management Technology will own the requirements and documentation of user stories and help modernize strategic GWMT applications. This role is responsible for delivering a modern suite of apps for one wealth business line, replacing a legacy system with a modern user interface, workflows and APIs, interfacing with multiple internal and external applications. You will work on business-critical applications following enterprise technology standards and contribute to world-class digital products and experiences for Scotiabank and its customers.
What You'll Do
- Assist team in resolving highly complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the needs of Projects and Compliance, by applying financial and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions.
- Conduct research and analysis, accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes, and liaising with users.
- Work closely with product owner on the business side to iron out user stories and maintain a healthy backlog for prioritization.
- Participate in the systems implementation process by developing test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing post-implementation support.
- Provide business support to Operations and Compliance group, including ad hoc queries, user training, and assisting with the design and implementation of systems enhancements.
- Actively communicate with management, and update on cases and/or issues that escalated appropriately.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in business analysis and documentation of requirements and user stories.
- Ability to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions and work with a product owner, solution architect, developers and SMEs.
- Familiarity with systems implementation, testing, user procedures, workflows, data conversion, and cutover activities.
- Strong communication skills to interact with management and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of financial domain and technology standards, and experience supporting Operations and Compliance groups.
