About the Role Technical Analyst contributes to the Global Technology team in Canada and globally, ensuring goals, plans, and initiatives are delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. The role ensures all activities are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The role also supports Disaster Recovery planning and risk management to ensure robust operations. What You'll Do
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Oversight of Disaster Recovery planning, reviewing and implementation of Recovery Runbooks for Compliance purposes.
- Provide proactive support of department priorities, including scheduling, coordinating and reporting that support key departmental initiatives
- Assist with Disaster Recovery events related to and BNS supported datacenters.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

- Advanced in PowerPoint
- Familiar with Sharepoint usage
- Power BI skillset
- Exacting in following procedural documents
- Competent English written and verbal communications with good presentation skills and collaborative orientation skillset
- Strong time management abilities
- Highly familiar with Network and Operational System and protocols (all O/S)
- Highly familiar or experienced in Disaster Recovery standards at both Application and Datacenter level. Nice to Have
