Role Overview

This entry to mid-level Technical Analyst position is for individuals with 8 or more years of relevant information technology experience. The role supports the Digital team in developing web, mobile, chat, and voice solutions. This position involves collaboration with business analysts, solution architects, developers, and testers to assess needs and define technical system requirements for solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume leadership of collaboration with product ownership to translate business needs into technical system requirements.

  • Proactively identify requirement gaps and issues to product ownership.

  • Ensure non-happy path scenarios are considered and handled.

  • Advocate for solutions that consider ease of maintenance and component reuse opportunities.

  • Leverage documentation and test versions of applications and APIs to understand existing functionality.

  • Investigate enterprise and vendor APIs to determine data availability.

  • Map data between interfacing systems.

  • Assist lead analysts in developing and prioritizing features and epics.

  • Participate in all Scrum-related meetings, including planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

  • Perform application and services tests and validations.

  • Create system requirement documentation for applications and services, including interface specifications.

  • Provide demonstrations to the internal project team and business stakeholders.

  • Work closely with Business, Quality Assurance, and developer teams on projects and to address production issues.

  • Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 8 or more years of relevant information technology experience, including capturing technical requirements for information systems and applications. Experience working with APIs and familiarity with multi-tier applications is required.

Skills

  • Ability to write SQL queries. General understanding of services-oriented architecture/microservices, enterprise and vendor API integration, managing system behavior through configurable variables, error handling, and XML/JSON data structures.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to exercise APIs.

  • Experience in the financial industry.

  • Experience writing front-end mobile and/or web application requirements.

  • Experience writing back-end service requirements.

  • Experience working in an Agile methodology.
