About the Role
Nissan is seeking a Techline Support Specialist 1 (ASE Master Certified or OEM Master) to provide technical assistance to dealership service technicians via email, phone, and chat. This role supports diagnosis and repair guidance for Nissan/Infiniti vehicles from Smyrna, TN, and collaborates with engineering to document incidents and drive quality improvements.
What You'll Do
- Respond to TECH LINE cases via email, phone, and Chat from dealership service technicians, providing technical information on diagnosis and repair of customer vehicles.
- Collect and document technical information on new vehicle incidents requiring repairs; prepare reports for further investigation by engineering staff.
- Provide help desk technical assistance and guidance to dealership service technicians regarding vehicle maintenance, service or repair.
- Ensure documentation is complete; search databases for similar cases; update and close out reports.
- Analyze cases from the customer's viewpoint and recommend actions aligned with customer needs and Nissan brand values.
- Provide feedback from dealership technicians regarding countermeasure procedures to Nissan North America departments.
- Collaborate with teams across functions, regions, and affiliates to complete reporting requirements.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of Nissan and Infiniti vehicles; proficient with technical service manuals and tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Three or more years of automotive retail repair experience, plus one year of directly related professional level experience.
- Education: AA degree preferred or equivalent related college or technical training; ASE Master Technician (A1–A8) OR OEM Master certification.
- Computer skills: Word processing, spreadsheets, and standard PC applications; typing speed 30 wpm or faster.
- Travel: No travel required.
