About the Role Tech Lead DATA role at Babel, driving architecture and technical leadership across data platforms in on-premise and cloud environments, leveraging modern data technologies to support digital transformation. You will shape the data stack and mentor the team to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions.

What You'll Do

• Define the architecture of systems and applications, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Select technologies and tools for ongoing projects in alignment with business needs.
• Participate in project planning, establish schedules and technical milestones.
• Monitor progress, report to management, and manage technical risks.
• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Implement testing processes (unit, integration, etc.) and validate developments before production.
• Maintain continuous tech watch to identify trends, methodologies and tools to improve architecture and data practices.

What We're Looking For

• Higher education in computer science, data engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience as a Technical Lead on projects spanning the data value chain.
• Comfortable in on-premise and/or Big Data/Cloud environments (Python, Scala, Spark, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Azure).
• Strong proficiency with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
• Good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and mastery of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Senior profile (tech lead or solution architect) with relevant data experience on a stack similar to ours.
• Ideally with a double competency in data engineering and data science.
