Job title: Tech Lead, Cloud Strategy
About the Role The Tech Lead, Cloud Strategy is a technical leadership role within the Platform Engineering team, responsible for delivering cross-functional strategic initiatives that accelerate business on AWS. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in AWS services, Python, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-oriented platform capabilities (managed runtimes, registries, discovery) and mentorship within an existing team. The Tech Lead sets technical direction through architecture decisions, engineering and security standards, and code reviews.
What You'll Do
- Architect and implement managed runtime environments for AI workloads on AWS.
- Build service registries with semantic discovery and gateway integrations.
- Integrate LLM providers and orchestration frameworks.
- Implement communication protocols for tool discovery and service-to-service interaction.
- Develop Python platform code: runtime handlers, SDK integrations, configuration management, and developer-facing templates.
- Build and maintain declarative infrastructure using IaC tools with GitOps-friendly patterns.
- Implement GitOps workflows for continuous reconciliation and environment promotion.
- Design and operate CI/CD pipelines with security gates.
What We're Looking For
- Deep hands-on experience in AWS services, Python, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Expertise in AI platform capabilities: managed runtimes, registries, tool discovery, and orchestration frameworks.
- Knowledge of LLM providers and orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with communication protocols for tool discovery and service-to-service interaction.
- Proficiency in Python platform code: runtime handlers, SDK integrations, configuration management, and developer-facing templates.
- Experience building and maintaining declarative infrastructure with IaC tools and GitOps workflows.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines with security gates.
- Demonstrated leadership, architectural decision-making, code reviews, and mentorship.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS Bedrock or other LLM providers and with orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with semantic service discovery and gateway integrations.
