About the Role The Team Manager Auto Field Inspectors leads a team of on-field and desktop auto claims inspectors in Mexico City, driving best-practice claims handling performance, customer service, and the technical and professional development of their team. This role oversees allocation, performance and strategic initiatives to improve processes and profitability while ensuring governance and service levels are met.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the allocation of claims within the team of on-field and desktop inspectors.
  • Serve as a technical referral point for team members and manage performance.
  • Keep the LoB Senior Manager advised of key complex loss developments and wider complex trends.
  • Execute strategic initiatives within the inspectors team.
  • Ensure Appraisals Best Practices are maintained within the inspector team.
  • Drive performance through required criteria and ensure claims are accurately assessed with proactive improvements within agreed service levels.
  • Embed use of balance scorecard/KPIs within the team.
  • Develop and implement initiatives with impact on processes, service and profitability.
  • Manage the team to maximize best-practice compliance and minimise lost economic opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate cost control, mitigation of indemnity and expense spend through estimates within the team.
  • Personal development / succession planning for individuals within the inspectors team.
  • Manage compliance with governance standards and regulatory requirements within the team.
  • Maintain effective communication to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills across the team, including direction, pace setting, coaching and active listening.
  • Possess strong stakeholder management experience (internal and external) and the ability to influence across a multi-cultural environment.
  • Communicate and train the claims team effectively; deliver internal strategic directives while reflecting AIG claims expertise externally.
  • Embrace in-person collaboration as a core cultural element of the organization.

What We're Looking For

  • Leadership and people management experience with the ability to manage a team and positively influence stakeholders at all levels in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Highly effective written, verbal, presentation and training communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience (internal: underwriting, distribution, actuarial, finance, executives; external: brokers, major account clients).
  • Fully developed specialist knowledge in line-of-business (LoB) technical claims topics, especially auto material damage assessments and procedural requirements.
  • Experience in negotiation and mediation with TPA, body shops and spare parts providers.
  • Experience conducting technical claims audits and following up on findings.
  • Strong numerical acumen: ability to manage by KPI and develop deep analytical insights.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and train the entire claims team.
  • Preference for candidates who thrive in an in-person, collaborative office environment.

Nice to Have

  • Prior leadership experience in a similar auto claims/inspection setting.
  • Experience operating within a global insurer framework.
