About the Role

Join CFAO MOBILITY Division in Durban as a Team Leader to supervise and motivate a warehouse team, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. You will play a key role in optimizing processes, driving productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and stock-control standards.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and inspire team members to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality warehouse operations.
  • Lead process optimization, productivity improvement, and adherence to safety, quality, and stock-control standards.
  • Provide support to production team members with daily functions and absence coverage.
  • Maintain Kanban operations based on lead times.
  • Coordinate daily unpacking of stock to maintain just-in-time operations.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards at all times.
  • Monitor and improve workflow efficiency to meet performance targets.
  • Coordinate and maintain accurate stock control and inventory management (FIFO, AGE stock, ECI parts).
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices.
  • Demonstrate good command of English for business communication.
  • Participate in Kaizen and innovation activities.
  • Focus on customer service and teamwork; solve problems; manage time and self.
  • Able to operate heavy machinery (forklift, high reach truck, tow motor) as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Matric - Grade 12
  • Numeracy and literacy
  • Basic computer skills
  • Higher certificate in warehouse management
  • Safety and ISO understanding; safety-critical components
  • Licensed to drive forklift, high-reach truck and/or tow motor
  • 2-3 years' warehouse experience (automotive warehousing or external experience would be advantageous)
  • Familiarity with warehouse management system and SAP / scanning system to maintain stock accuracy
  • Knowledge of SOPs for warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols; maintain an organized (5S) warehouse environment
  • Administration and reporting of stock
  • Initiative-taking with a hands-on approach; strong communication and reporting skills
  • Able to lead and motivate a diverse team; clear communication; conflict resolution; adaptable to changing priorities

Nice to Have

  • Automotive warehousing experience advantageous
