Group Summary:
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Job Responsibilities:
Direct the team in your assigned work area on safety, quality and attainment issues.
Assists in the development and implementation of quality procedures, work instructions and standards. Understands Magna Mirrors Holland’s quality policy and assures compliance with ISO/IATF systems.
Follow all safety rules including but not limited to: wearing cut resistant gloves, ear plugs , safety glasses , ID Badge as needed and enforce discipline through corrective action recommendations to the Supervisor, after counseling the employee
Print 1st articles, scrap sheets, and get hourly counts.
Plan and organize work sequence in such a manner to ensure smooth flow through the department and the meeting of schedules.
Assures the quality of product through the visual inspection, gages, and other various measuring techniques.
Reviewing downtime, scrap, and team efficiency and make recommendations for improvement.
In the Supervisor’s absence, acts as back-up for the Supervisor, determines allocation of overtime and submit requests for OT approval and assign employees to work cells/machines daily.
Ensure rotation and policies are followed within coverage area, perform housekeeping activities, work on lines covering for unplanned breaks to reduce downtime, as needed.
Report all incidences to your supervisor immediately and, when applicable, completes their portion of incident/accident/witness reports.
Communicates all concerns to Supervisor.
Responsible for staging and setup of equipment, materials, and products for on-coming shift.
Maintains the orderliness and cleanliness of the area (5S).
Must be able to troubleshoot and move to different areas within the same focus factory.
Assists in the training of new operators in the area using the Magna required JI Training
Relieve Operators for breaks as needed
Responsible to make basic quality calls based on customer standards.
Coach and counsel employees through performance concerns.
May be required to perform other miscellaneous duties at the request of the supervisor.
You will be responsible for performing those duties listed above and responsibilities assigned to you by your manager or his/her designees.
