Your Mission

Public Cloud Infrastructure (PCI) builds and operates the largest European sovereign public cloud platform.

With several tens of regions worldwide, including France, Canada and Poland, millions of instances are provisioned on an infrastructure designed, assembled and operated by OVHcloud.

You will join a product-oriented squad, mainly composed of SRE profiles and distributed around the world.

As a Team Lead Senior, you will lead a team of about ten people maximum. The role is hybrid, with a strong technical dominance: about 70% technical and 30% management.

You remain deeply involved in the technology: architecture, production, reliability, technical debt, performance and incident management. You are responsible for both your technical perimeter and the development of your team.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Tech Leads, Architects and other Team Leads, and report to an IT Director.

The context is marked by strong growth and regular structural transformations, notably the progressive integration of artificial intelligence solutions to optimize operations.

Your main responsibilities

Team Lead aspect – about 30%

• Ensure the team delivers quality, cost, time and security in line with the roadmap.

• Manage the team, recruit talent and support their development.

• Provide regular feedback and manage individual and collective performance.

• Analyze key performance indicators for your scope.

• Lead and support transformations within your team.

• Communicate strategic directions and choices in a pedagogical and transparent manner.

• Encourage AI adoption in team practices: automation, analysis, development assistance and operation optimization.

Technical / SRE aspect – about 70%

• New & Build: lead with your squad the design and delivery of new OpenStack features.

• Lean: identify and prioritize with the Product Owner reliability, automation and reduction of technical debt.

• BAU & Fix: ensure daily run quality, incident handling and production issue resolution.

• Architecture: challenge designs, arbitrate structural choices and ensure technological coherence of your scope.

• Incident management: take leadership during critical incidents and coordinate resolution with the different squads.

• Performance & scalability: analyze performance and make necessary trade-offs to ensure infrastructure capacity supports growth.

• Documentation & standards: ensure an adequate level of documentation and maintain technical standards of the team.

• Pragmatically integrate relevant AI tools into development, observability, automation, troubleshooting and predictive analysis activities.

• AI: have identified and initiated concrete AI use cases applied to run, build and observability.

• Actively contribute to the PCI Team Leads community.

• Delivery: your squad delivers predictably and in line with the PCI roadmap.

• Transformation: actively contributed to the structural transformations of your scope.

• Leadership: recognized as a reference Team Lead within PCI.

• Talent development: you ensure the mentoring and progression of team members.

• AI & efficiency: you have industrialized AI usages delivering measurable gains in efficiency, reliability or time-to-market.

Required skills

• Strong technical expertise in OpenStack.

• Mastery of SRE practices: resilience, monitoring, incident management and performance tuning.

• Proven experience in managing a technical team.

• Significant experience in cloud, infrastructure and large-scale production environments.

• Ability to challenge architectural choices and make structuring technical decisions.

• Ability to lead and coordinate resolution of critical incidents.

• Good understanding of performance, scalability, automation and technical debt issues.

• Good understanding of AI applied to operations: AIOps, automation, copilots and augmented observability.

• Fluent English, minimum B2 level
