About the Role California Baptist University’s School of Christian Ministries invites applicants for a part-time Teaching Assistant position in the areas of Christian Studies, Intercultural Studies, and Philosophy. The role supports undergraduate coursework and assists in online and/or hybrid learning environments. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality teaching support while upholding the university’s mission.
What You'll Do
- Provide teaching assistant support for undergraduate courses within the School of Christian Ministries (Christian Studies, Intercultural Studies, and Philosophy).
- Assist with grading, timely responses to student questions, and timely submission of grades.
- Support instruction in online and/or hybrid formats and help manage course activities.
What We're Looking For
- Current CBU students (juniors or seniors) are preferred, though candidates with relevant degrees (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate) will be considered.
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission of California Baptist University and to excellence in teaching through the integration of the Christian faith and learning.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
- Ability to work in undergraduate disciplines within the School of Christian Ministries and in online/hybrid settings.
- Familiarity with and not in conflict with the fundamental doctrines and practices of the California Southern Baptist Convention as stated in the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
