Job title: Teaching Assistant - College of Behavioral and Social Sciences
About the Role The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at California Baptist University is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support graduate and undergraduate courses in Anthropology, Christian Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work and Sociology. The TA will assist in online and/or hybrid instructional settings and contribute to student learning and assessment.
What You'll Do
- Provide teaching assistant support for courses across Anthropology, Christian Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work and Sociology (graduate and undergraduate).
- Assist in online and/or hybrid instruction; respond to student questions in a timely manner and assist with grading and submission of grades.
- Demonstrate exceptional written communication skills and organizational abilities; support faculty to maintain high standards of teaching.
What We're Looking For
- Current CBU students (juniors or seniors) preferred, though candidates with bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees will be considered.
- Commitment to the mission of California Baptist University and to integrating Christian faith and learning in teaching.
- Strong written communication, reliability, and ability to respond promptly to student inquiries; ability to manage grading and timelines.
- Flexibility to support in online and/or hybrid settings and across multiple disciplines within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
- Willingness to support courses in Anthropology, Christian Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work and Sociology (or related graduate/undergraduate areas).
