About the Role EY's Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) group seeks a Tax Staff to combine corporate tax work with structured and virtual learning. You’ll gain hands-on experience in Canadian corporate tax, including tax compliance, accrual reviews, tax provisions, and planning, while building your professional network and preparing you for leadership in tax. What You'll Do
- Combine corporate tax work with structured and virtual learning through EY's curriculum, focusing on Canadian corporate tax.
- Work on tax compliance, tax accrual reviews, tax provisions and tax planning as part of domestic corporate income taxation.
- Implement tax strategies that align with clients' business objectives.
- Prepare corporate tax returns.
- Audit tax provisions.
- Share tax planning ideas with others.
- Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals.
- Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans and assist in making quality decisions in complex areas.
- Get exposure to key client issues in domestic corporate income taxation and build a network of relationships across the business.
- Over time, develop into a well-rounded tax professional with broad experience across multiple areas of tax. What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field; or a diploma in accounting with a minimum of 2 years of relevant tax/accounting experience; or equivalent experience in business or industry.
- A passionate interest in developing Canadian income tax knowledge.
- A desire to work in an environment with learning opportunities on a daily basis.
- Exceptional PC proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
- The ability to manage time.
