Job title: Tax Senior Manager
Baker Tilly is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join one of the fastest growing public accounting firms. This role provides tax advisory and compliance services to middle-market clients, working with firm leadership and mentoring staff to develop their technical and professional skills. Be a trusted member of the engagement team, providing various tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients, and act as a valued tax business advisor who leads client relationships on day-to-day tax matters with clients ranging from middle market to multinational. Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC 740. Research various tax matters, responding to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and make recommendations to the client for consideration. Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters in the state and local, high net worth, international, research and development along with credits and incentives areas. Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met. Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue. Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm-wide learning and development programs. Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's or advanced degree desirable. CPA or EA required. Eight (8)+ years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm.
