About the Role Join Baker Tilly as a Federal Tax Senior Associate to deliver industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients. This role offers the opportunity to be a trusted business advisor with upward career trajectory within a fast-growing advisory practice.
What You'll Do
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle market to multinational companies
- Participate in tax research, help draft IRS responses, and address other tax authority inquiries
- Collaborate with leadership on special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation (ASC 740, accounting methods, etc.)
- Develop client recommendations and communicate with leadership to discuss strategies
- Coordinate with specialty tax practices on state/local, international, credits and incentives, high net worth matters
- Learn and grow through on-the-job coaching and firm-wide development programs
- Network and build relationships with clients and colleagues; support team development through Baker Tilly's Care and Teach philosophy
- Participate in team activities and maintain work-life balance
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; license eligible; CPA, Law License, or EA preferred
- 3+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting in a public accounting setting
- Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Leadership, project management, organizational and analytical abilities; initiative and adaptability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn tax software and tools
Nice to Have
- Experience serving middle market to multinational clients
- Industry-specific experience in federal tax for S-corporations, partnerships, and corporations
