Tax Manager

About the Role Provide guidance to clients on individual tax services with expertise in areas such as 990, 5500, 1040, and 1041. You will oversee tax preparation, collaborate with client management to determine objectives, and mentor Tax Seniors and Staff to deliver compliant US tax returns. What You'll Do

• Provide guidance to clients on individual tax services, demonstrating expertise in areas such as 990, 5500, 1040 or 1041
• Determine tax service objectives, scope and methodology and actively participate in communications with client management to understand the client’s business and to identify possible tax solutions
• Oversee the calculation and analysis of tax strategies for clients and assist with delivering to the client
• Manage and review the preparation of individuals tax returns, estimated payments and extensions; monitor, document and apply the tax laws for US tax return preparation
• Continue to develop relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
• Proficiency in CCS Access Software and Sure Prep tools
• Ability to handle business entity tax compliance tasks effectively
• Provide both leadership (mentoring and coaching) and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute towards implementing them What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's / Master’s degree with a major in accounting and CPA (US) or CA (ICAI).
• Minimum of 6yrs years of experience in US Taxation; Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred
• Proficient in individual taxation - 990, 5500,1040 or 1041
• Minimum of 2 years of supervising and training experience
• Prior experience working with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently and strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements
• Ability to work overtime, as needed and ability to travel as needed
