Job title: Tax Accountant
About the Role The Tax Accountant will supervise and manage taxation analysis and country tax management for JAS branches and subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance, planning, and filing. This role collaborates with treasury, supports audits, and contributes to cross-functional tax projects.
What You'll Do
- Ensure preliminary tax obligations for branches are met, including calculation, forecasting with treasury, and booking
- Prepare work papers for the quarterly provision process and assist with monthly account reconciliations
- Support annual audit planning and respond to tax authority queries and audits
- Draft reply letters to queries and advisory letters to clients; participate in investigations and field audits
- Prepare and file profits tax returns, individuals' tax returns, and other tax compliance matters; perform ad hoc assignments
- Prepare corporate tax returns for Branches and Subsidiaries and compile documentation to support filings
- Maintain monthly calculations to support ongoing compliance; ensure process adherence and liaise with JAS WW policy
- Update process documentation after annual filings; work with Assistant Manager on tax office queries and audits
- Engage in cross-functional tax projects and assist Corporate Tax Manager with planning opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Accounting; 2-4+ years of relevant working experience with supervisory experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills; leadership capabilities; detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local language preferred
- Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently; ability to work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills; good communication abilities
- Technical experience in Administration, Taxation, reporting, and finance registration
- Computer systems proficiency: Office and finance reporting systems; SAP, Cognos (user level)
