About the Role Harvest Ridge Winery is seeking a Tasting Room Manager and Event Coordinator to oversee daily tasting room operations and coordinate guest experiences at our Marydel, Delaware location. This role combines leadership of the tasting room team with planning and executing memorable winery events.
What You'll Do
- Manage daily tasting room operations and guest service to ensure a welcoming, efficient experience.
- Lead, schedule, and train tasting room staff; monitor performance and deliver ongoing coaching.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute on-site events, private tours, tastings, and club pickups in collaboration with winery teams.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to promote events, drive club memberships, and increase wine sales.
- Maintain inventory of wine, glassware, merchandise, and POS supplies; ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, reservations, POS transactions, and cash handling with professionalism; resolve issues promptly.
- Track event outcomes and reporting; manage logistics and vendor coordination as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a tasting room, hospitality, or events role; wine industry experience a plus.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience planning and coordinating events, with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage staff, multitask, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for wine and a positive, guest-focused attitude.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with winery POS systems, CRM, or event management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field.
- Knowledge of wine production or wine knowledge helpful.
- Prior experience with wine clubs or winery marketing initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year.
