About the Position:

  • The ENGINE IT Talent Site Lead will design, implement, and execute IT talent programs to build, source and deploy the right talent at the right time accelerating digital innovation across Chevron. This role partners globally with Competency Committees, HR, IT and Supervisors to develop critical technical, professional and leadership skills ensuring a healthy talent pipeline. Partner cross-functionally to deliver enterprise talent initiatives growing digital capabilities across Chevron leadership, practitioners, and general workforce.

Key responsibilities

  • Develops, integrates and maintains IT Function talent ecosystems (tools, data, workflows) partnering with Competency Committees, HR, IT Sponsors, supervisors and Tech Center Site Manager to identify needs and execute talent workflows.
  • Perform data analysis and develop strategic staffing plans to ensure IT has the workforce composition, skills and geographic distribution to meet current and future business objectives through building (grow), buying (hire/partner), or borrowing (redeploy) talent to close critical gaps.
  • Develop data driven talent intelligence tools to monitor, performance, development and forecast resource demand aligned with external benchmarks and proficiency goals.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and manage University relationships to ensure robust talent pipelines are available. Continuously improve hiring cycle time and rapid resource onboarding to achieve time to productivity targets.
  • Cultivate a continuous learning culture by supporting IT Function implementation of Skill Insights (IT Competency) and effectively curating customer focused learning opportunities (IT Learning Hub, IT Engineering University) enable career transparency and mobility.
  • Delivers local training and facilitates onboarding as needed.
  • Manage, deliver and evolve career development programs (Horizons, interns, Digital Talent Development, Better Leaders).
  • Communicate strategy to action at all levels of the organization and align with enterprise talent management processes.
  • Partner with HR and site IT leaders to continually improve talent acquisition lead times, process efficiency, and the overall candidate and onboarding experience.
  • Design and drive programs that strengthen employee engagement and support low attrition, using data and feedback to identify and address key workforce needs.
  • Continuously monitor the drivers of talent attraction, retention, and growth, and translate insights into targeted talent strategies and actions.
  • Monitor and maintain a healthy workforce mix across experience levels, while advancing a diverse workforce across multiple dimensions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources Learning & Development or leading a Technical Workforce Development program and 5-10 years of overall experience.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems and workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Workday and Learning Management Systems.

  • Experience with program / project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

  • Experience coaching and facilitating training.

  • Selection Criteria: Demonstrated ability to work through influence and foster positive relationships with ability to effectively communicate, engage, and build trust, across all levels of the organization.

  • Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
