About the Role We are seeking a Systems Security Engineer to support DoD-related programs at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. This position focuses on applying security engineering practices to implement and maintain secure systems for mission-critical operations. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security requirements and risk management. What You'll Do
- Implement and maintain security controls for critical systems in DoD environments.
- Work with engineers and operations teams to ensure secure system design, configuration, and continuous monitoring.
- Assist in security risk assessments, threat modeling, and incident response planning. What We're Looking For
- Experience in systems security engineering or related field; familiarity with DoD security requirements preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to translate security needs into actionable tasks.
- Effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Nice to Have
- Experience with RMF/NIST 800-53, cyber operations, or related frameworks.
- Prior work in aerospace/defense environments.
