Systems Engineering Manager (m/w/d)

About the Role OHB System AG seeks a Systems Engineering Manager (m/w/d) in Bremen to lead national system projects and proposals in a SAR context within a military environment. The role includes developing basic system concepts and top-level architectures for system extensions, and providing technical leadership to a team of Systems Engineers. You will also be responsible for forecasts, alignment of technical activities, and cross-functional collaboration across departments and external partners. What You'll Do

• Lead national system projects and SAR-context proposals within a military environment.
• Develop fundamental system concepts and top-level architectures for system extensions.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate a team of Systems Engineers in their project tasks.
• Create robust cost, schedule, and performance forecasts based on the system design.
• Ensure consistent alignment of all technical activities and outputs within the team.
• Plan, organize, and moderate regular technical project checkpoints to monitor progress.
• Take responsibility for the Systems Engineering portions of Contract Change Notes (CCNs).
• Maintain continuous and transparent technical information exchange within the project team, with departments and external partners.
• Promote efficient, cross-domain collaboration across the organization. What We're Looking For
• Master’s degree in engineering or a comparable field, ideally aerospace or Systems Engineering.
• Solid experience in Systems Engineering of complex total systems, ideally in space, IT, and SAR.
• Proven expertise in developing system architectures and top-level system design.
• Experience in technical leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong system understanding and the ability to quickly grasp new, complex topics.
• Experience planning and controlling costs, schedules, and resources.
• Proficiency with requirements engineering methods, including verification and validation.
• Practical experience in change and configuration management (e.g., CCNs).
• Strong communication skills, high initiative, and commitment; high degree of personal responsibility and decisiveness.
• High teamwork ability and collaboration across functions.
• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing (mandatory). Compensation & Benefits
