About the Role The Systems Engineer SME will provide subject-matter expertise and technical leadership to support complex systems across the lifecycle on programs based in Washington, DC. The role focuses on ensuring system performance, integration, and successful delivery for mission-critical efforts at MTSI. What You'll Do
- Apply systems engineering principles across requirements, design, integration, verification, and validation for assigned programs.
- Lead technical discussions, perform trade studies, and develop architecture artifacts with cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with customers, teammates, and vendors to meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Prepare and participate in program reviews and ensure documentation quality. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; 5+ years of systems engineering experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering standards, requirements management, modeling, and integration.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work onsite in Washington, DC.
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer SME and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
