Job title: Systems Design Engineer
Scope of Role Corning's Optical Communications division is seeking a Systems Design Engineer to work directly with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care teams to design passive optical network solutions for external customers. In this role, you will develop technically sound network designs and bills of material (BOMs) for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), Multi-Dwelling-Unit (MDU), Fiber-to-the-Business (FTTB), and other access network deployments.
Location, Work Hours and Travel requirements Work Hours - Normal Business hours - 8am to 5pm Location: Charlotte, NC Up to 25%, including some international travel; weekend travel may be required. Travel is related to Sales support, customer training, and project work.
