THE ROLE:

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic System Applications Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of the Data Center Ecosystem and Applications Engineering team, the System Applications Engineer, offers a challenging position to grow AMD’s presence with Data center partners and customers.

THE PERSON:

The System Applications Engineer will be accountable for supporting the AMD server Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) partner network and enabling joint reference architectures and solutions in collaboration with AMD partners. This person will be a collaborator working with cross-functional teams solving issues and implementing solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enable validation and performance optimization of AMD server CPU’s with partner products. Track progress and ensure alignment and readiness with AMD product launch plans
• Drive closure of open technical issues leveraging partner and AMD engineering resources (SMEs)
• Drive long term technical feature alignment between AMD server and partner products
• Develop system level (hardware and software) solutions and technical value proposition on joint partner enabled solutions to enable AMD’s success in server markets
• Author/co-author technical collateral (app notes, tuning guides, whitepapers, ...) with partners to position AMD products in target market segments
• Create detailed requirements and co-develop joint partner demos and proof of concepts
• Work with partners to create SOW for implementation as needed
• Work with partners to develop detailed benchmarking plans on AMD platforms
• Develop automation tools, scripts, and AI-assisted debugging solutions to improve support effectiveness.
• Train, socialize and evangelize AMD’s technical value proposition as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Deep technical experience in the server industry and knowledge of multi core processors strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of server technology, trends, system solutions and software
• Strong understanding of PCIe, CXL, and memory hardware technologies
• Driven to achieve a high level of customer/partner satisfaction
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non- technical audiences
• AI-assisted debugging, automation, and knowledge management solutions
• Experience working with cross-functional teams from multiple departments

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
