About the Role As a System Engineer (m/w/d), you will develop the system design for modern ground-based short-range air defense systems with an interdisciplinary team of internal and external specialists, and accompany the entire lifecycle from definition to verification. You will serve as the interface between disciplines, responsible for the development and management of system requirements and evidence as well as the system architecture. You will drive interdisciplinary problem solving and support customer communication and the technical supervision of subcontractors, including international partners. You will ensure quality through modern, model-based methods and tools.

What You'll Do

• Develop the system design for modern ground-based short-range air defense systems with an interdisciplinary team.
• Manage requirements and their verification and validation across the system lifecycle.
• Develop the system architecture and act as a bridge between disciplines to identify optimal solutions.
• Support customer communication and technical supervision of subcontractors, including international collaboration.
• Ensure quality using MBSE methods and tools such as Enterprise Architect or DOORS NG.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in engineering (e.g., Systems Engineering, aerospace, mechanical, software).
• Several years of experience in system design, preferably in military systems.
• Knowledge in ground-based air defense or transportability.
• Ability to abstract functionally and think in complex contexts; openness to new challenges and high-performance products.
• Experience with Systems Engineering methods for complex systems; knowledge of MBSE tools (Enterprise Architect, DOORS NG).
• Good English skills in speaking and writing for international collaboration.
• Location: Laupheim; full-time; onsite; start: immediate.
