System Engineer

About the Role System Engineer responsible for specification, integration, and validation of innovative transportation systems. You will gather and manage requirements, coordinate across clients, partners, and internal teams, and ensure compliance with Alstom standards to optimize project performance. What You'll Do

• Manage requirements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate systems engineering activities and manage client changes
• Monitor and manage technical documentation to ensure compliance
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors
• Implement systems engineering methods and tools
• Participate in technical risk assessments and performance analysis
• Collaborate with validation teams to ensure all requirements are met
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, participate in technical coordination, and ensure adherence to Alstom’s standards and processes What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent
• 4–10 years of experience in railway, aerospace, automotive, or related fields
• Ability to work autonomously on multiple systems/projects
• Strong coordination and collaboration skills
• Customer and product orientation
• Ability to challenge product definitions and verify deliverables
• Familiarity with railway systems architecture (asset)
• Professional proficiency in French and English (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites across North America
• Enthusiasm, team spirit, and openness to dialogue
• Ability to manage conflicting ideas professionally Nice to Have
