Hourly Pay: $75.00 - $85.00

Role Overview

A research engineering team is seeking a DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to join their group focused on building a new micro-VM platform optimized for agentic workloads. This role involves owning the infrastructure stack that supports the team, including provisioning compute environments, maintaining benchmarking frameworks, and ensuring a robust CI/CD pipeline. The position operates at the intersection of systems research and product engineering, contributing to how cloud infrastructure runs AI workloads at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision and manage multi-platform cloud compute environments, automating configuration to reduce setup overhead.

• Coordinate host access and isolation across team workloads while maintaining cloud subscriptions in a compliant and cost-efficient manner.

• Improve the development environment and agentic engineering processes.

• Own and extend the benchmarking harness for VM lifecycle measurements, tracking metrics such as boot latency, memory footprint, and throughput.

• Design experiments for single-instance and concurrent-burst scenarios to surface regressions and validate improvements.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across all project repositories, automating build, test, and validation workflows.

• Manage binary delivery channels for kernel, VM, and agent artifacts to accelerate developer iteration loops.

• Required Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required.

• Experience: 10+ years of relevant systems or infrastructure engineering experience is required.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a strong open-source contributor with a notable contribution history.

• A strong GitHub track record that demonstrates technical work.

• Previous experience at a major technology company.
