Job title: System Cybersecurity Architect

About the Role Join Alstom in Pittsburgh as the System Cybersecurity Architect for UrbalisFlo. You will define the cybersecurity architecture aligned with IEC 62443, design innovative solutions, and collaborate across Cybersecurity, Product Management, and System Design teams to ensure high-quality, on-time system design deliverables.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and deliver UrbalisFlo cybersecurity system and subsystem requirements, roadmap, and internal constraints.
  • Define technical responses to Cybersecurity Risk Assessments, ensuring alignment across subsystems with Product Architects.
  • Support the System Engineering Manager in identifying technical risks and shaping the development strategy.
  • Apply processes, methods, and tools as referenced by program plans to cybersecurity design.
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and on-time delivery of the design and specifications in collaboration with System Designers and other System Architects.
  • Participate in program reviews and work with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity considerations.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • About 3-4 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with cybersecurity requirements and standards (IEC 62443 or similar).
  • Experience or understanding of cybersecurity architecture design aligned with IEC 62443.
  • Exposure to or experience using DOORS (requirements management).
  • Experience performing vulnerability assessments and cybersecurity risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of system engineering principles and processes, plus cybersecurity risk assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with UrbalisFlo or similar rail signaling systems and their cybersecurity requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams; clear technical presentation.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
  • Experience with processes, methods, and tools for system design and development.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on evolving cybersecurity technologies.
  • Ability to promote ethical standards in line with the Alstom Code of Ethics.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with UrbalisFlo or similar rail signaling systems (additional context for roles).
  • Experience with DOORS (requirements management) in a hands-on setting.
