System AIT Engineer

Job title: System AIT Engineer

About the Role System AIT Engineer is responsible for definition and implementation of the AIT plan and the specification of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for AIT phases. It coordinates AIT activities and ensures alignment with engineering, supporting system integration and verification throughout the project lifecycle. This is an onsite role in Brno, on a fixed-term contract for 3 years with the possibility of extension.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate AIT activities with engineering activities together with system engineers and PA manager
• Obtain inputs and produce the AIT plan
• Track the preparation of the spacecraft test documentation, including procedures, scripts, GSE, manuals, etc
• Track the execution of the test campaigns and logistic planning for test facilities
• Act as the interface towards the customer in AIT Engineering issues; the Payload AIT manager, GSE engineers and Test Manager
• Provide technical judgement of the integration flow
• Check all processes needed for integration (e.g. gluing, harness routing, etc.)
• Ensure that AIT standards are respected in the project
• Ensure clean room and laboratory status
• Support for the definition of verification (T) activities, test plans and specifications consolidation and approval
• Test procedures approval

What We're Looking For

• Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in AIT, system engineering, or spacecraft integration; knowledge of AIT processes and spacecraft verification activities; experience in preparation and coordination of AIT plans and test campaigns; familiarity with Ground Support Equipment (GSE) specification and usage; understanding of spacecraft integration processes and cleanroom standards; experience with test documentation (procedures, scripts, manuals) and verification planning; knowledge of system engineering lifecycle and collaboration with PA and system teams; ability to coordinate interfaces with customers, test facilities, and subsystem teams
• Strong coordination and communication skills; ability to work in interdisciplinary and international teams; structured and analytical working method; proactive and solution-oriented mindset; flexibility and resilience during test campaigns; team-oriented approach with ownership of tasks; willingness to learn, take on additional responsibility, and deliver trainings; entrepreneurial thinking with focus on quality and cost awareness; reliability; high level of commitment and responsibility; fluency in spoken and written English
