About this role
Job title: SVP, Growth Strategy
About the Role
As the SVP, Growth Strategy, you are dentsu X's strategic lead on new business — owning the pitch from first brief to final room. You write the agency's strategic response, shape how dentsu X positions itself for each prospective client, and set the direction that every contributing team works to. You distill complex opportunities into a clear narrative and lead with a data-informed story in fast-moving pitches.
What You'll Do
- Lead pitch strategy and write the agency's core strategic response for major pitches, shaping the initial point of view through the final narrative arc.
- Distil complex briefs into a sharp, on-one-page pitch that guides the entire team and ensures strategic coherence across materials.
- Craft dentsu X's positioning to authentically fit each client's category, ambitions, and challenges.
- Maintain clarity of argument across all pitch materials, managing speed and accountability under tight deadlines.
- Align and brief department leads (strategy, planning, activation, measurement) so every workstream ladders to the central idea.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration, challenging contributions to achieve integrated, coherent answers.
- Lead the strategic narrative in presentations; connect data insights to ambitious, human storytelling that resonates with senior client stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in media.
- Proven ability to lead a new business pitch from start to finish and guide CMO-level clients to solutions.
- Excellent articulation of complex, technology-driven industry dynamics.
- Demonstrated leadership across diverse teams with strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Strategic, creative, practical, and commercial thinking with the ability to see the big picture and the necessary details.
- Exceptional presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Passion to drive business forward and strong team-player mentality.
- Prior participation in new business development and pitches; client-facing experience.
- Strong managerial skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $197,225 - $250,000 USD per year.
