About the Role The Sustainability & Product Compliance Senior Manager F/H sits in Salomon's Global Sustainability department and is responsible for ensuring compliance with global sustainability and product regulations, managing material certification standards, and maintaining robust traceability across the value chain. The role intersects sustainability, product development, compliance, quality, legal and sourcing, and is pivotal for product integrity, regulatory compliance and the credibility of sustainability claims.
What You'll Do
- Define, implement and continually improve sustainability and product compliance standards and processes.
- Ensure all materials, components and finished products meet applicable global regulations.
- Maintain regulatory watch, assess risks and potential impacts on Salomon products.
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear implementation plans and oversee their execution, in collaboration with Product, Quality, Legal and Sourcing.
- Manage chemical substances: act as the expert on chemical compliance and restricted substances, and supervise risk assessment and reduction.
- Collaborate with Materials, Innovation and Quality to balance performance, compliance and sustainability.
- Drive end-to-end value chain traceability: deploy traceability requirements at materials and product levels, map the supply chain, identify risks and gaps, and contribute to robust traceability processes and auditable data.
- Ensure data integrity and maintenance of traceability information in PLM, compliance and traceability systems; support audit readiness of certifications and chains of custody; deploy certified materials across product lines.
- Leverage traceability data to measure impact and credibility of sustainability claims, in collaboration with Sustainability Tools & Data and Communications.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in sustainability, regulatory compliance and product compliance in consumer goods or outdoor equipment.
- Knowledge of chemical regulations and restricted substances; ability to lead chemical risk assessment and mitigation.
- Strong governance, project management and data capabilities; experience maturing a Compliance Management System.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Quality, Legal, Sourcing, and regional teams; experience coordinating with groups like Amer Sports Compliance & Sourcing.
- Analytical mindset with risk assessment, audit readiness, and data-driven decision making.
- Experience leading small teams and developing talent.
