About the Role
Join Logan Health as a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons with precision, maintain a sterile field, and contribute to safe, patient-centered procedures within a collaborative care team.
What You'll Do
- Set up and evaluate equipment for surgical cases and prepare sterile tables with instruments, supplies, and solutions.
- Maintain aseptic technique and sterile field throughout procedures.
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs and assist to ensure smooth procedures.
- Participate in counts and assist with handling of surgical specimens.
- Assist in patient transfer and post-operative care with professionalism and compassion.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and team members; monitor equipment for safe operation.
What We're Looking For
- Certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc. preferred, or 2 years of surgical technologist experience.
- Current (or within 2 months of hire) AHA BLS Certification.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to work independently when needed.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to new software.
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and patient safety.
- New grads are welcome; supportive training provided.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience or certification required.
- Surgical Technologist experience preferred in: Dental, ENT, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pediatrics, Plastics/Breasts, Podiatry, Robotics, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, Urology, Vascular.
