About the Role Collaborates with surgeons and registered nurses to ensure a safe, sterile operating room environment. The Surgical Technologist performs direct and indirect technical tasks for patients before, during, and after surgical interventions to facilitate safe and effective procedures. What You'll Do
- Check supplies and equipment for the surgical procedure.
- Scrub in, don sterile gown and gloves; gowns and gloves for the surgeon and assistants.
- Pass instruments required during surgery to the surgeon.
- Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique during the procedure.
- Assist with positioning, skin preparation and draping of the patient.
- Assist with sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
- Assist in preparing the Surgical Operating Suite for the next operation; transfer patients to and from the operating table; and help with case turnover.
