Job title: Surgical Technician, Labor and Delivery I
About the Role The Surgical Technician, Labor and Delivery I is an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical and patient care. Functions under the supervision of a surgeon or registered nurse to ensure that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Assists with patients in triage and with breakdown and instrument care in the Labor and Delivery deck area.
What You'll Do
- Assist with patients in triage
- Help maintain a safe operating room environment and ensure equipment functions properly for surgical procedures
- Assist with breakdown and instrument care in the Labor and Delivery deck area
- Provide support under supervision of a surgeon or registered nurse to maximize patient safety
- Support with patient care and procedure readiness as needed
What We're Looking For
- Licensure: Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred
- Education: Graduate Surgical Technology Preferred; Associate's Degree Surgical Technology Preferred; Military - Surgical Technology Preferred
- Experience: 3 Years Clinical - Surgical Technician Required
- Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to follow direction in high-stakes environments
Nice to Have
- Military - Surgical Technology experience (preferred)
- Additional certifications or advanced training in surgical tech
