About the Role Cary Medical Center seeks a Surgical Technician to join our dedicated Operating Room team. This role supports the surgical team by assisting during procedures, prepping instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure patient safety. What You'll Do
- Assist during surgery and provide instrument and equipment support
- Prepare instruments, supplies, and maintain sterility throughout procedures
- Uphold aseptic technique and assist with room turnover
- Support on-call schedule (within 30 minutes of notification) What We're Looking For
- Surgical technologist experience preferred
- Surgical technologist certification preferred
- BLS required within 1 year
- HS/GED preferred
- Must meet unit competency and participate in on-call schedule (within 30 minutes) Nice to Have
- Familiarity with surgical tools and equipment such as sterilizers, electro cautery devices, suction, fiber optic equipment, pacemaker equipment, orthopedic tourniquets, microscopes, air-powered equipment, and operating room tables Compensation & Benefits
- Job is full-time with 40 hours per week plus on-call responsibilities (7a-3p schedule referenced in posting)
