Surgical Representative

About the Role Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Surgical Representative for the department of Surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The role serves as the primary staff liaison with all surgery patients from the initial physician recommendation for surgery through completion of the procedure, and provides financial planning and service to patients and physicians to facilitate scheduling and coordination of care.

What You'll Do

• Act as the primary liaison between surgery patients, physicians, and the surgical team from referral to post-operative completion.
• Provide financial planning and service coordination for patients and physicians to facilitate scheduling, insurance coordination, and related administrative tasks.
• Coordinate scheduling of surgical procedures and related pre- and post-operative activities, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
• Collaborate with departments, physicians, and staff to support patient care and operational efficiency.
