Job title: Surface Mount Machine Operator – 3rd shift

About the Role Mack Technologies is seeking a Surface Mount Machine Operator for the 3rd shift to set up, operate and maintain equipment used in PCB assembly, including screen printers, glue machines, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners and conveyors. The role involves interfacing with complex hardware and software, identifying defective components, inspecting own work and ensuring workmanship standards. ITAR considerations require a US Person.

What You'll Do

  • Set up, operate and maintain screen printers, glue machine, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners, conveyors, and other equipment used in PCB assembly.
  • Interface with complex machine hardware and software.
  • Identify and report defective components.
  • Inspect own work to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure products meet established workmanship standards.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain data logs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and surrounding workspace.
  • Ensure accuracy of work-in-process.
  • Participate in quality teams as required.
  • May train other employees.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in SMT equipment operation (preferred).
  • IPC-A-610 Certified (preferred).
  • ESD Training.
  • Knowledge of component identification and nomenclature.
  • Basic computer skills, problem solving and workstation skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, verbal instructions and visual aids.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary, including weekends.
  • US Person as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15 (ITAR) for access to ITAR controlled data.

Nice to Have

  • IPC-A-610 Certification (preferred).
  • ESD Training (preferred).
