Job title: Surety Financial Underwriter (Italy)
About the Role Reporting to the Surety Financial Underwriting Manager Italy, you will be responsible for actively monitoring and managing a portfolio of companies for which Atradius has existing Bonding exposure. You will also serve as the decision maker for new requests for bond lines from both existing and prospective clients.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of bonding exposures and related risk for Italian operations.
- Decide on new bond line requests from existing and prospective clients.
- Apply underwriting principles and guidelines in line with bonding governance.
- Use financial analysis techniques to assess risk exposure of potential new cover and existing risks.
- Demonstrate understanding of the three primary financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and the company's business models.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal form with internal and external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in the financial services sector.
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics or business.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform data analysis and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of bonding business is a plus but not strictly required.
Nice to Have
- Previous knowledge of the bonding business is considered a plus but not strictly required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: 32,000 - 34,000 (Temporary Contract).
