Job title: Supv, Plant

About the Role This supervisory leadership role provides management and oversight of direct reports in daily Plant Operations to meet load dispatch requirements for the Energy Management Organization. The position ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utility power boilers, turbine/generators, and auxiliary equipment, while upholding unit/equipment operating parameters and start-up/shut-down procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Provide Human Resource Management of direct reports, including policy compliance, performance management, guidance, and training.
  • Align employee actions with corporate, business unit, and department objectives to promote continuous learning and development while maintaining compliance.
  • Manage the Entergy Safety Process; ensure compliance with Corporate Safety standards and approved practices for personnel protection.
  • Ensure safe isolation/lock-out and restoration of site equipment.
  • Continuously monitor boilers, turbine/generators, and auxiliary equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Manage and support Entergy's core processes and initiatives, including Plant Operations Excellence, Commercial Commitment to Excellence, NERC Standard Compliance, Unit Reliability, Surveillance Testing, Operations Transactions Systems, Utility Group Safety Process, Operations Information Systems, Operator Skills Development Process, Environmental Compliance, and the Automated Tagging System.
  • Assume a project management role in designated situations.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of Plant Operations/Power Boiler Experience with demonstrated supervisory leadership qualities.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: In-depth knowledge of power plant systems and unit operating practices (Operating Technician Proficiency). Knowledge of unit cycle chemistry, its requirements, and corrective actions.
  • Minimum Certificates, Licenses, etc.: None.
  • Desired: 8-10 years of Plant Operations/Power Boiler Experience, 3-5 years of this period as a control board operator; supercritical experience for supercritical units.
