Job title: Supply Planner – Tokyo, Japan – On-site
About the Role The Supply Planner will be part of Stanley Black & Decker’s Supply Chain team, working on-site in Tokyo, Japan to align demand planning with inbound supply and inventory strategy.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with The Demand Planning Team to understand and order product to support business objectives.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient management of inventory levels within set KPIs (Inventory, DSI, excess & obsolete, Unit Fill Rate etc.).
- Actively review, manage, and update ETA of inbound purchase orders using ERP/JDA and Excel-based reporting; updating arrival dates where necessary.
- Work closely with factories/suppliers on lead-time improvements and supplier performance to serve markets with optimum inventory and at least costs.
- Use data analytics, ABC/Threshold Analysis and other tools to maintain right inventory levels with right quantity.
