About this role
What you'll do
- Giga Energy builds mission-critical power and cooling infrastructure for AI datacenters, including transformers, switchboards, e-houses, and fully integrated AI pods delivered to hyperscaler and utility customers across North America. As Supply Chain Systems Lead, you will be the business process owner for the supply chain inside our ERP. We are implementing NetSuite across the company, and you own what it has to do for materials: how a released bill of material becomes a purchase order, how inventory is counted, how demand becomes a production plan, and how supplier performance gets measured. This is not an ERP administrator role. Finance owns the platform and our implementation partner handles configuration; you own the process, the workflows, the controls, and the data that run through them.
Where you'll work
Velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure, and the best decisions happen in the room. This role is based in Houston or Los Angeles with full-time onsite expectations, and travel up to 10 percent to our facilities and suppliers, including Long Beach and Mexico.
Responsibilities
-
ERP and Business Process Ownership
-
Own supply chain requirements, workflows, controls, and data inside NetSuite across procurement, inventory, and production planning
-
Map current-state supply chain process end to end and define the target-state process the ERP must support
-
Drive supply chain scope through the implementation: requirements definition, configuration review, UAT, cutover, and hypercare
-
Partner with Finance and the implementation partner on integrations, without owning the enterprise platform or the vendor relationship
-
Procurement and Purchase Orders
-
Define the PO process end to end: templates, required specifications, approval thresholds, and release criteria
-
Standardize what every PO must carry, including part specification, revision, tolerance callouts, incoterms, and lead time
-
Build requisition-to-PO workflow and the exception paths for expedites and long-lead components
-
Support contract and pricing record management for direct materials
-
Master Data Governance
-
Own item master, vendor master, BOM, and unit-of-measure standards, including naming conventions and approval for new records
-
Define and enforce data quality rules; run periodic audits and cleanup cycles
-
Manage consumption of the released engineering BOM and its synchronization into the ERP, including revision handling
-
Inventory and Material Planning
-
Own inventory and warehouse workflows across Houston, Long Beach, and our Mexico facility, covering receiving, put-away, cycle count, and physical inventory
-
Implement material planning: demand signals, reorder points, safety stock, and MRP parameters
-
Drive system-to-floor inventory accuracy to an agreed tolerance and report against it
-
Support production planning and capacity views for manufacturing
-
Supplier Performance
-
Build supplier performance data from system records: on-time delivery, lead time variance, PO accuracy, and quality escapes in partnership with Quality
-
Stand up the supplier scorecard and quarterly business review data pack
-
Provide the sourcing team with spend, lead time, and performance analytics for negotiation and dual-source decisions
-
Adoption and Reporting
-
Write work instructions and train procurement, warehouse, and planning teams on the new process
-
Own supply chain KPIs and the reporting used by operations leadership
-
Run continuous improvement on process and system as volume ramps
Requirements
-
Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
-
6+ years in manufacturing supply chain systems and operations
-
Hands-on experience implementing or materially scaling an ERP in a physical-product business (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Infor, or equivalent), owning the business process rather than configuration
-
Working knowledge of procurement, material planning, inventory control, and production planning in a manufacturing environment
-
Experience owning item and vendor master data standards and enforcing them across functions
-
Experience in a high-growth manufacturing environment where systems and process had to be built while volume ramped
-
Proficiency with reporting and analysis tools; Excel required, SQL or BI tooling a plus
-
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Bonus points
-
Power equipment, electrical hardware, industrial equipment, automotive, or semiconductor supply chain experience
-
NetSuite specifically, including a supply chain or manufacturing module implementation
-
Experience across a US and China or US and Mexico manufacturing footprint
-
Familiarity with PLM systems and the engineering-to-procurement handoff
