Supply Chain Program Management Intern

A Supply Chain Program Management Intern at Microsoft builds support plans and designs service experiences for new products, programs, or offerings. You will critically review new support scenarios to identify potential incidents or risks and determine whether new plans are needed to support offerings, opportunities, or if plans should be removed. You will analyze experience feedback and monitor key performance indicators to improve the customer experience, increase return on investment, and identify new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Execute forward or reverse supply plans provided and perform tactical elements of the supply plan, including understanding part-level gaps between demand and supply. Manage programs with low complexity and/or receive direct guidance.
• Use tools and processes for managing supply and driving improvements to avoid additional labor needs, while developing a foundational understanding of these tools and processes.
• Conduct analysis and gather information for what-if scenarios impacting supply and demand management for forward and reverse planning.
• Rework or refurbish finished goods, execute mitigation solutions for goods, and redeploy them in another area when applicable.
• Assist with the review of staffing, capacity, bills of materials, and change orders. Track metrics related to the operational performance of suppliers.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field.
• Must have at least one additional semester or term of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
