About this role

About the Role Supply Chain Procurement Specialist responsible for ensuring efficient management of raw materials and merchandised products, focusing on procurement planning, risk management, and cross-plant knowledge transfer to secure availability and minimize production disruption. The role also emphasizes collaboration with governance bodies and suppliers to maximize profitability and minimize production rupture risks. What You'll Do

  • Provide BA-level support for all raw material and inbound logistics topics, and collaborate with PUR to mitigate supply risks.
  • Establish procurement tactical plans to maximize profitability and minimize production rupture risks.
  • Manage total risk exposure, risk mitigation investments and risk transfer pricing in line with governance.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer between plants and drive efficiency and transparency for service and merchandise articles, including managing inventory levels, replenishment and SIOP-based operations.
  • Lead projects focused on supplier switches (e.g., from European to Asian suppliers) and define ramp-down / ramp-up scenarios; provide forecasts to suppliers and define make-to-stock vs make-to-order supply strategies.
  • Escalate delays / backlogs at suppliers and develop recovery plans together with the supplier.
  • Serve as the contact person for the purchasing department for merchandise goods changes/issues. What We're Looking For
  • Several years of professional experience in supply chain planning or purchasing, with cross-functional knowledge.
  • Experience in design of SCM processes.
  • Excellent know-how in SCM tools and methods, especially familiarity with the supply chain planning area.
  • Deep SAP know-how.
  • Project management experience in major SCM projects, preferably in an international context.
  • Proven track record in implementing SCM processes and IT systems.
  • High level understanding of SCM processes.
  • Leadership experience desirable.
  • Strong communication, facilitation & moderation skills in a highly operational & dynamic context.
  • Experience working in an international organization / context.
  • High level of customer orientation.
  • Ability to manage procurement risks and collaborate to mitigate supply risks. Nice to Have
  • First leadership experience desirable
