Supply Chain / Procurement Officer
Location: Warri, Delta Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities, from receiving procurement requirements and RFQs to supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, purchase order placement, and delivery.
- The role will work closely with the Commercial & Procurement Manager, Project, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure materials, equipment, and services are sourced competitively and delivered within required timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities from purchase requisition/RFQ through quotation, evaluation, purchase order placement, and delivery.
- Source materials, equipment and services for Oil & Gas, EPC and engineering projects.
- Identify and develop qualified local and international suppliers, OEMs, authorised distributors and specialist vendors.
- Identify alternative sources to improve pricing, availability and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and issue RFQs and actively follow up with suppliers to obtain quotations within required deadlines.
- Evaluate quotations for price, technical compliance, lead time, payment and delivery terms.
- Prepare quotation comparisons, commercial bid analyses and procurement recommendations.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and delivery conditions.
- Verify supplier, OEM and distributor information and quotation compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with approved procedures.
- Monitor purchase orders and supplier commitments through to delivery.
- Maintain and develop an up-to-date supplier/vendor database.
- Evaluate supplier capability, reliability, pricing, lead time, and performance.
- Work with Project, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Logistics teams to understand requirements and priorities.
- Review technical specifications, descriptions, and BOQs sufficiently to source the correct materials or services.
- Track procurement activities against project schedules and required delivery dates.
- Follow up on outstanding orders and resolve supply or delivery issues.
- Provide regular updates on RFQs, quotations, POs, supplier commitments, and delivery status.
- Maintain complete procurement records, including RFQs, quotations, bid analyses, approvals, POs, and delivery documentation.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, client requirements and applicable Oil & Gas industry requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost comparisons and supplier performance reports.
- Provide supplier quotations and procurement information to the Bid/Tender Officer when required for tender submissions.
Requirements
Education
- Degree / HND in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline.
- CIPS or other relevant professional certification is an advantage.
Experience
- 3–5 years’ relevant experience in Oil & Gas procurement, sourcing, supply chain or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in supplier sourcing, RFQ management, quotation evaluation, negotiation and purchase order management.
- Experience sourcing technical materials, equipment and services for Oil & Gas, EPC, engineering, construction or industrial projects.
- Experience sourcing from OEMs, authorised distributors, manufacturers and international suppliers is an advantage.
- Good understanding of technical specifications, equipment/material descriptions and procurement requirements.
- Familiarity with NIPEX, NOGIC JQS and Nigerian Oil & Gas procurement requirements is an advantage.
- Experience using procurement software and ERP systems is an advantage.

Salary
N350,000 - N500,000 monthly
