About the Role The Presidency invites unemployed youth to apply for government entry-level positions, including Supply Chain Officer: Acquisition, Supply Chain Officer: Helpdesk, and Practitioner: Risk and Business Continuity Management, based in Pretoria. These roles support procurement, risk management, and administrative functions within government departments. What You'll Do
- Processing of quotations for goods and services: Request quotations for goods and services, source quotations from Preferential Service Providers listed on CSD and ensure tax compliance, and send them to the End-User.
- Processing of applications for purchase: Verify that requests are signed, verify Demand Plan, check Banking Details on CSD, ensure funds under the relevant item code, attach supporting documents (SBD, BEE Certificate), verify tax matters, compile comparative schedules, and submit motivation and comments on attached checklist.
- Administration of bids: Prepare bid documents, manage bid processes from specification to advertising, liaise delivery dates with service providers, and process Tax Invoices for payment within 30 days and monthly expenditure reporting. What We're Looking For
- Requirements: A Senior Certificate plus an appropriate three-year National Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 or higher) in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Procurement or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a Supply Chain Management environment.
- Skills & Competencies: Strong communication (oral and written), client orientation and customer focus, honesty and integrity, service delivery innovation, knowledge management, financial management, problem solving, management and analysis, programme and project management, Public Service Regulatory Framework, policy formulation process within government, monitoring and evaluation methods, tools and techniques.
