Job title: Supply Chain Manager

About the Role The Supply Chain Manager provides leadership and direction across Scheduling/Planning, Procurement, Inventory and Materials Management, Warehousing, Traffic, Shipping & Receiving, and Purchasing. This role drives value and daily operations for on-time delivery; Plant Manager can fulfill duties in case of vacancy.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure raw materials and finished products are supplied to internal and external customers on a timely basis.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers (internal and external) and suppliers.
  • Maintain a skilled workforce focused on raw material efficiency, world-class equipment utilization, delivery, quality (services), cost, and flexibility.
  • Create and maintain a purchasing system that provides annually increasing economic value.
  • Manage the Supply Chain group to achieve the desired OTC (On Time Complete) metric using visual management systems, demand segmentation and other tools as necessary.
  • Foster a continuous improvement environment using lean principles such as Kanban/Pull Systems, 5S, demand segmentation, production wheels, etc.
  • Motivate staff to accomplish goals and continuously improve from current/past practices to reduce costs, improve processes, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for overseeing food safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years progressive experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Logistics, Procurement or related field preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred and Lean experience strongly desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; extensive ERP system experience preferred; Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills; Results-focused.
