Job title: Supply Chain Manager
About the Role The Supply Chain Manager leads the Supply & Demand Planning at the OpCo/BU level in Japan, coordinating across Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Formulation and Supply Chain teams. The role focuses on deploying Nutreco planning standards and driving continuous improvement toward IBP maturity.
What You'll Do
- Lead and drive the OpCo/BU Supply & Demand Planning strategy and IBP process aligned with Plant/Operations and third-party suppliers.
- Organize and facilitate IBP meetings, support the Financial Forecasting Process, and prepare scenario decision documents.
- Balance demand and supply for optimal volume, revenue, cost and margin; provide production plans to procurement, supply points and logistics in line with service levels.
- Optimize the supply network (OTIF, EBIT) and manage Supply Planning resources (capacity, materials, human resources).
- Manage day-to-day planning decisions, escalate conflicts as needed, and maintain ERP planning parameters with clear ownership.
- Act as first point of contact for Sales, Marketing, Species teams and Key Accounts for operational/tactical planning horizons; translate business dynamics into demand plans and priorities.
- Build trust-based relationships with internal and external partners (suppliers) and communicate decisions/constraints to the organization.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning and integrated business planning (IBP/S&OP) in manufacturing or consumer goods.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills, ability to balance demand, inventory and capacity; experience with ERP systems and S&OP processes.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management; comfortable working with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Supply Points.
- Fluent in Japanese and Business English; based in Japan or willing to relocate.
- Knowledge of NPD/NPI, EOL, promotions, seasonality, tenders and contracts; ability to translate market trends into actionable plans.
